I bought this and "Autumn" for my sister, who loves piano music but hadn't heard of Winston. She loves them both!

I bought the Summer Album in order to see if was worth going to a concert that is going to be in Santa Fe soon...
on the basis of the album.. i decided not to sepnd the money for the concert...

this is too much plinky plinky music that tends to have your mind wonder if soemof the melodies were sped up a bit that you would hear some jingles from tv adds.. ok in small doses or if you like to go to sleep listening to soft plinky music... but not for me.

This is a good summer piece. It will be a good addition to your collection. Perfect for relaxing on the porch on a warm summer evening.

I listened to this CD many times when I first moved from NY to California - it just so perfectly captures the essence of the excitement of moving to a sunny "milk and honey" state (away from the cold dreary winters of NY.) Highly recommended for playing while driving around exploring some of the incredibly beautiful nature scenes of California.

Summer by George Winston is another stellar effort from the excellent solo pianist. Though this CD can be greatly enjoyed at any time of the year, it is appropriate that, right now, at the beginning Summer this CD can be greatly enjoyed. The songs and sounds here are really outstanding.
