Customer ReviewsRated This kettle is nice because it is stainless instead of enamel. It is of basic/simple design and appears very durable. It is easy to clean as well. The whistle assembly is poorly designed. The kettle has a weak whistle, and drips condensation from the spout well before whisle is audible. Rubber insert in handle is a little small, and metal part of handle does get hot. Rated This tea pot is excellent. I've had it since 2006. It's true that the handle gets hot, but nothing I can't handle. Handle has two meanings, distinct, yet not completely unrelated. Not the best teapot imaginable, but I like it. Does KitchenAid act like it's the most thought-out & remarkable appliance company of our times? If so, they missed the mark. There are design flaws. But nothing too regrettable. I've been using this pot every day for the past 4 years and never complain. It's a pleasant object. Rated This kitchenaid teapot is all that I expected it to be and more. Its handy handle is easy to pick up and to pour. I love it and would tell others about it. Its amazing!!! Rated Such a beautiful tea kettle, but the first issue was the sticky tape they used to tape on the lid. It left a thick residue on both sides of the lid and pot. I put peanut butter on the residue and let it sit for a couple days and was finally able to wipe off the residue and try my tea kettle. Unfortunately, I was disappointed because my tea kettle did not whistle. The seal isn't tight enough, so steam dribbled out the spout onto my ceramic top. I'm sorry that I will have to return it; I need the whistle since I don't stand over the stove waiting for the water to boil. Rated I read some of the reviews, and also I am not sure why it received low marks from some folks. I love this Tea Kettle. I registered for this tea kettle three years, and through some fluke, I ended up getting two of them. I use this tea kettle every day. My husband and I make coffee in our french press, and love the fact that the whistle on this kettle is loud, so it interrupts us when we should be paying attention to a hot kettle on the stove. I also have a glass top stove, and the stainless steel works perfectly, although to be honest, I didn't even know the other ones wouldn't work, so I guess it was providence. My kettle has not rusted, even with daily use; sometimes multiple times a day. I do not find the handle to get hot at all. I am not sure why some folks are having that problem. The kettle is heavy, but it is supposed to be that way. I actually got this from Linens and Things before they went out of business, and I went through the tea kettles and picked each of them up to make sure they had some good weight. I didn't want it to burn out on the bottom or get a metallic taste after long term use. I gave the extra one I received to my sister and she also loves it. No problems for either of us. One note, if you over fill the pot, the boiling water will come shooting out of the spigot because it is too full. That is due to user-error, and not a defect in the kettle. Also, if you leave the spigot top open, the water will also start shooting out. Make sure you have the lid on tightly and the spigot closed, otherwise the kettle will not whistle. Similar Products
