Also convenient is the capacity line on these pots and pans, which helps prevent cooks from overfilling them.This 5-quart saucier cooks a hefty amount of food and is an excellent example of the Contemporary Nonstick line’s versatility. With its high sides, flared rim, and two handles, this pan is equally ideal for simmering a beef and tomato ragu on the stovetop or baking a macaroni-and-cheese casserole in the oven. The pan’s exterior is made of hard-anodized aluminum for superior heat distribution. The interior is coated with a nonstick surface that is resistant to peeling, chipping, flaking, or cracking. This pan has ergonomic brushed stainless-steel handles that stay cool to the touch on the stovetop and are riveted to the pans for durability. The lid is tempered glass--for viewing food as it cooks—encircled by a stainless-steel band that complements the cookware and fits snugly into the rim.
